Located in the Gulf of Mexico, three miles off Florida's southwest coast, Captiva Island is connected to the mainland via Sanibel Island and the Sanibel Causeway on the "Gold Coast" of Florida. We are positioned at the south end of Captiva Island in a quiet residential area. The neighborhood is a non commercial area comprised of stately single family homes, many catered as rental properties, with the privacy afforded by one acre lots.
The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum: exhibits are devoted to shells in art and history, shell habitat, rare specimens, fossil shells and more. J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge: you can bike, walk, canoe, kayak or take the narrated tram trip through the 6,000-plus acre refuge, home all local wildlife. Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation: features a "River Walk", a "Nature Center" and a "Butterfly House" as some of it's many wonders. Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife: facility for orphaned birds and mammals is dedicated to restoring the health in a natural setting.

Captiva Island, Florida is approximately 30 miles from the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers and is serviced by all major domestic carriers and some international airlines. International service is also available through Orlando, Miami and Tampa. A short 4-hour drive takes you to Orlando, while just 2 hours takes you to Miami or Tampa.
